Summertime fishing report 08/16/2024 lake Tawakoni Texas. The Channel Catfish as well as High fin Blue Catfish are being caught in deep water. The water temperature has be above 87 degrees and making the shallow bite tough. Punch bait and cut bait has been working well early in the morning and late in the evening. Guide Keith Parks recommends drift fishing in the open areas of the lake for better success on the bigger fish.
